Gallery of works : External wall insulation, Dublin 7, Cabra

This terraced house in Cabra, Dublin 7 had two walls and back extension of about 49 square meters in total to be insulated externally. The walls are made from solid concrete blocks and the problem was cold and dampness - particulairy in the extension. Insulation material: 100mm Platinum expanded polystyrene (EPS). To provide better air circulation there where additionally three new vents installed. Front iron rain pipe was replaced also with the new one.
